Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 : Delhi
Today you will arrive Delhi by your International Flight. Meet on arrival
and transfer to Hotel. Check in time is 12 noon. However, as most of the
flights arrive Delhi in the evening, we have not scheduled any program for
today.
Day 02 : Delhi
This morning at 0900 hrs. there is a meeting in the hotel lobby where you
will be given a briefing about the tour. After the briefing you will leave
for a full day tour of Old and New Delhi. The main attractions of the tour
would be the Red Fort, Jama Masjid (Asia's largest mosque) and Raj Ghat -
the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi in Old Delhi and India Gate, President's
House, Parliament House, Birla Mandir (Hindu Temple) and Qutab Minar in New
Delhi. You will also be driven through Connaught Circus and Diplomatic
Enclave.
Day 03 : Delhi / Agra
After breakfast leave Delhi by road for Agra (200 Kms - 4 hours). Arrive
Agra and check in at your hotel. This afternoon there will be a tour of
Agra, which includes - the Agra Fort and of course the most beautiful
monument of love in the world - the Taj Mahal.
Day 04 : Agra / Jaipur
After breakfast, leave Agra for Jaipur by road (250 Kms - 6 hours). On the
way you will stop at Fatehpur Sikri - the deserted red sandstone city built
by Emperor Akbar as his capital in the late 16th century. The city was later
abandoned due to shortage of water. Continue your travel to Jaipur and check
in at your hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax.
Day 05 : Jaipur
This morning get ready to ride the magnificent elephant from bottom of the
Amber hill to top - it is one of the lifetime experience. After reaching the
top of you will visit the Amber Fort - its various palaces and courtyards.
The return journey will be on foot. In the afternoon you will take a tour of
Jaipur - the Pink City of Rajasthan. Visit the City Palace Museum, Jantar
Mantar Observatory and Hawa Mahal - Palace of the Winds.
Day 06 : Jaipur / Pushkar
After breakfast leave Jaipur for Ajmer (141 Kms - 4 hours). Visit the
Durgah of Khwaja Muinuddin Chisti (very famous memorial of a Muslim saint)
and the Jain Temple. Continue your journey to Pushkar (the place if famous
for its annual cattle fare). Arrive and check in at hotel.
In the afternoon you will visit the various temples of Pushkar and also
visit the Pushkar Sarovar. Pushkar is the only place where there is a temple
dedicated to lord Brahma.
Day 07 : Pushkar / Udaipur
After breakfast, leave Pushkar for Udaipur (260 Kms. - 6 hours). Arrive
Udaipur and check in at Hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure.
Day 08 : Udaipur
Morning city sightseeing tour of Udaipur visiting the City Palace Museum,
Jagdish Temple and the lovely gardens - Sahelion Ki Bari. Afternoon is free
to either relax or visit the bazaars in the city on your own.
Day 09 : Udaipur / Jodhpur
After breakfast leave Udaipur for Jodhpur by road (335 Kms - 7 hours). On
the way you will also stop and visit the World famous Jain Temples of
Ranakpur. Arrive and check in at your hotel.
Day 10 : Jodhpur / Jaisalmer
This morning you will visit the magnificent fort of Jodhpur called
Mehrangarh Fort. Also visit the Jaswant Thada - the royal cenetophs and the
local bazaar. In the afternoon you will travel to Jaisalmer (330 Kms - 7
hours). Arrive and check in at hotel.
Day 11 : Jaisalmer
In the morning visit the Golden City of Jaisalmer including its living
Fort, the Havelis belonging to various merchants and Gadisar - the pond. The
afternoon is free to relax. However, in the late afternoon you will travel
to Sam to visit the Sand Dunes and also to enjoy a camel ride. The sunset is
worth watching.
Day 12 : Jaisalmer / Bikaner
This morning you will travel to Bikaner (326 Kms - 7 hours). Arrive and
check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free.
Day 13 : Bikaner / Nawalgarh
In the morning you will visit the City Palace of Bikaner. Also visit the
camel-breeding farm.
Afternoon you will travel to Nawalgarh (240 Kms - 5 hours). Arrive and
check in at hotel.
Day 14 : Nawalgarh
In the morning you will visit the local school to see the most beautiful
frescoes paintings. Also visit the other havelis around Nawalgarh. In the
afternoon you can either relax or visit the village on foot.
Day 15 : Nawalgarh / Mandawa / Delhi
This morning you will leave Nawalgarh for Delhi (270 Kms. 7 hours). On the
way you will also visit the various Havelis of Mandawa. Arrive Delhi and
then transfer to airport in time for your International Flight to your next
destination.
