Day - 1 - Arrive Delhi
Explore the ancient temples heritage of India with this Khajuraho golden
triangle tour, which covers excursion to Khajuraho ancient shrines and the
three major destinations namely Delhi, Agra & Jaipur city of India.
Detailed Itinerary
Day - 1 - Arrive Delhi
You arrive in Delhi by International flight. After traditional
Swagat'(Welcome) our representative would assist you at the airport & to
our hotel for check-in. After breakfast we will go on a guided tour of Delhi
at 1000 hrs, beginning with a morning sightseeing trip to Gandhi Memorial at
Raj Ghat & a drive around India Gate & President's House. In the
afternoon visits to Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple(Closed on Monday) &
Qutub Minar.
Overnight Hotel - Delhi(B)
Day - 2 - Delhi - Jhansi (Shatabdi Express: Dep. at 0600 Hrs- Arr. At
1030 hrs) Orchha - Khajuraho (160 km - 04 hrs)
Early morning we leave for the railway station (Packed Breakfast) on time
to board the train to Jhansi. On arrival at the Jhansi Railway Station our
representative would meet & assist you. Next we leave for Orchha,
located at a distance of 16 km from Jhansi.
Orchha has a medieval town atmosphere attached to it. The Betwa River
quietly flows by the town. The 16th century palaces & temples built by
its Bundela rulers appear to be suspended in time. Visits to Orchha Fort,
Jahangir Mahal, Raj Mahal & Ram Raja temple. Later we proceed further
for Khajuraho. Upon arrival in Khajuraho check-in at our hotel. Overnight

Day - 3 - Khajuraho - Jhansi (160 km-4 hrs) Jhansi - Agra (Shatabdi
Express - 1730- 2000 hrs)
After an early breakfast sightseeing trip to Khajuraho temples, built
between 950 & 1050 AD by the mighty warrior kings of the Chandela
dynasty, in a truly inspired burst of creativity. Temples are famous for the
magnificent carvings depicting numerous sexual postures of the famous
'Kamasutra' ancient Indian work on sex. Only 22 temples survive of the 85
originally built. In fact, worship is still done today in the Matangeshwara
temple, continuing an unbroken 1000 year tradition. Later we drive for
Jhansi railway station to board the train for Agra. Upon arrival assistance

Day - 4 - Agra - Mathura & Vrindavan - Agra - (60 km - 1.5 hrs - One
way)
Agra, the erstwhile capital of great Mughals & known for Taj Mahal. It
has always fascinated Indians & foreigners alike. Most of Agra is on the
West bank of river Yamuna, with the Agra Fort & Taj Mahal at its
nucleus. Taj Mahal is quite simply one of mankind's most remarkable
creations. At Agra we visit the incredible architectural excellence of Taj
Mahal (Closed on Friday), built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his
beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Next we visit Agra Fort, built principally as a
military establishment by Akbar in 1565. The red sandstone Agra Fort was
partially converted into a palace during Shah Jahan's time. This massive
Fort is 2.5 km long & is considered as the predecessor of the Delhi Red
Fort.
Later in the afternoon we leave for an excursion to Sikandara, Akbar's
tomb. Further we proceed to Mathura (Shri Krishna Janmabhumi Temple) &
Vrindavan (Bankey Bihari Temple & ISKCON Temple) (Temples is closed
between 1200-1600 hrs), related with birth & childhood of Lord Krishna.
Later we drive back to Agra. In the evening enjoy the Magic show performed
by the local magician. Overnight Hotel - Agra. (B)
Day - 5 - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur (250 km - 5 hrs)
After breakfast, we leave at 0900 hrs for Jaipur. En route we visit
Fatehpur Sikri, a masterpiece in sandstone with stunning elegance of its
palaces & courts. Further proceed to Jaipur, upon arrival we help you
check-in at our hotel. Overnight Hotel - Jaipur (B).
Optional Excursion to Chokhi Dhani : An evening excursion to Chokhi Dhani
complex, ethnic village resort located at a distance of 15 km from Jaipur.
Rajasthani village atmosphere is recreated on the sprawling ground &
includes the entertainment by folk dancers & musicians. Guests can move
around freely & enjoy the evening. Later drive back to the Hotel for
overnight stay.
Day - 6 - Jaipur
Early morning after breakfast 11 km drive to Amber, capital of the gallant
Rajputs from 1037 to 1728 AD. We ride on elephant back & reach Fort
situated on hill & then visit the Fort Palace. Later we visit the City
Palace, Birla Temple, Jantar Mantar Observatory & Palace of Winds.
Overnight Hotel - Jaipur (B)
Day - 7 - Jaipur - Delhi (250 km - 5 hrs)
Morning post breakfast we leave for Delhi. Upon arrival assistance and
check-in hotel for overnight stay at hotel. (B)
Day - 8 - Depart Delhi
Our tour concludes: We thanks you for your patronage & ensures a
punctual transfer to the Airport for your onward travel.
