Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 : Cochin
Arrival at Kochi (Cochin) Reception and assistance at the airport / railway
station by our representative and checking - in to hotel.
Proceed for a half-day site seeing tour at Cochin, after lunch, by car
(Fort Kochi, Bolghatty Palace, Mahadeva Temple, Fine arts). Over night stay
at hotel in Cochin.
Day 2 : Cochin - Munnar
By Road - 130 kms in 4 hrs
Proceed to Munnar and site seeing - places like Rajamala, Mattuppetty, Echo
point, boating in the Lake.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3 : Munnar - Anamudi - Munnar
Morning, after breakfast, visit to tea plantations, Anamudi, Eravikulam
National Park, Devikulam, Mattupetty, Pallivasal, Pothamedu etc.
Overnight stay at Munnar.
Day 4 : Munnar - Periyar (THEKKADY)
By Road - 110 kms in 3 hrs
Morning, proceed to Periyar visit to Idukki dam on the way.
Check in at hotel on arrival. Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary is home to nomadic
tribes of wild elephant, boar, deer, the great Indian tiger and more.
Evening - boat cruise in the lake to watch wild animals. Overnight stay at
Periyar.
Day 5 : Periyar
Morning, after breakfast boating in Periyar lake - Wildlife sanctuary. You
can see the rare species of plants and animals.
Afternoon visit spice plantations like cardamom, cinnamon, pepper, coffee,
tea etc. On your way back to the hotel, shopping arrangements at the local
market of fragrant spices. Overnight stay at Periyar.
Day 6 : Periyar - Kumarakom
By Road - 130 kms in 4 hrs
Early morning, proceed to Kumarakom. Arrival and Check into a traditional
Houseboat of Kerala Style and go for a leisurely backwater cruise along the
lake on a thatched Houseboat. The Houseboat, with all modern comforts, lets
you discover the countryside at your own pace. You will have lunch, dinner
and breakfast in the Houseboat. A ride on the Houseboat is a fabulous way to
explore the fascinating beauty of the backwaters.
Cruise through the backwaters to Alleppy. Overnight stay at Houseboat.
Day 7 : Allapuzha - Trivandrum
Proceed to Trivandrum after lunch, site seeing - Kuthiramalika, Museum, Zoo
Overnight stay at Trivandrum.
Day 8 : Trivandrum Site seeing
Padmanba Swamy Temple, Sree Chitra art gallery, Veli tourist village,
proceed to Kovalam beach - sunset, back to hotel.
Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 9 : Trivandrum
After Break fast drop at Airport/Railway station.
