Detailed Itinerary
Day - 1 - Arrive Delhi - Jaipur (250 km- 5 hrs)
You arrive in Delhi by International flight. After traditional Swagat'
(Welcome), our representative would assist you at the airport & to our
hotel for check-in. After some rest & breakfast in the hotel we will
check-out of the hotel & proceed for Delhi sightseeing. At 1000 hrs, we
will take you for a half Day sightseeing tour of Humayun's Tomb, Lotus
temple (Closed on Monday) & Qutub Minar.
Later we will leave for Jaipur, the flamboyant capital of Rajasthan. On
arrival at Jaipur, our representative will meet & assist you to check-in
at our hotel. Overnight Hotel- Jaipur (B)
Day - 2 - Jaipur
After an early breakfast, we drive 11 km to Amber, the capital of the
gallant Rajputs from 1037 to 1728 AD. We ride on elephant back & reach
Fort situated on hill & then visit the Fort Palace. Later we visit City
Palace, Birla Temple, Jantar Mantar Observatory & Palace of Winds.
Overnight Hotel- Jaipur (B)
Optional Excursion to Chokhi Dhani : An evening excursion to Chokhi Dhani
complex, ethnic village resort located at a distance of 15 km from Jaipur.
Rajasthani village atmosphere is recreated on the sprawling ground &
includes the entertainment by folk dancers & musicians. Guests can move
around freely & enjoy the evening. Later drive back to the Hotel for
overnight stay.
Day - 3 - Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra (260 km - 6 hrs)
After breakfast, we'll depart at 0900 hrs to Agra. En route we visit
Fatehpur Sikri, a masterpiece in sandstone with the stunning elegance of its
palaces & courts. Further proceed to Agra, upon arrival we check-in
hotel at Agra. Evening at leisure. Overnight Hotel- Agra. (B)
Day - 4 - Agra
Taj MahalAgra, erstwhile capital of great Mughals & known for Taj
Mahal. It has always fascinated Indians & foreigners alike. Most of Agra
is on West bank of river Yamuna, with the Agra Fort & Taj Mahal at its
nucleus. Taj Mahal is quite simply one of mankind's most remarkable
creations.
After early breakfast, we drive at 0800 hrs visit the incredible
architectural excellence of Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday), built by Emperor
Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. Next we visit Agra
Fort, built principally as a military establishment by Akbar in 1565. The
red sandstone Agra Fort was partially converted into a palace during Shah
Jahan's time. This massive Fort is 2.5 km long & is considered as the
predecessor of the Delhi Red Fort.
Later in the afternoon we visit Itmad-ud-Daulah Tomb, built by Noor Jahan,
wife of Mughal Emperor Jahangir, in memory of her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg.
Before Taj Mahal was built, its rough design was already standing in the
form of Itmad ud Daulah's Tomb. Next we visit Sikandara, Akbar's tomb. In
the evening enjoy the Magic show performed by the local magician. Overnight
Hotel- Agra. (B)
Day - 5 - Agra - Mathura & Vrindavan - Delhi (220 km - 5 hrs)
Early morning post breakfast we will depart for Delhi at 0730 hrs, En route
we visit Mathura (Shri Krishna Janmabhumi Temple) & Vrindavan (Bankey
Bihari Temple & ISKCON Temple) (Temples are closed in between 1200-1600
hrs), related with birth & childhood of Lord Krishna.
Later we continue our drive to Delhi, upon arrival our guide will take you
for a sightseeing trip to Gandhi Memorial at Raj Ghat, then drive around
India Gate & President's House. Overnight Hotel- Delhi (B)
Day - 6 - Delhi - (Flt: KB-203 / 1115 - 1500 Hrs.) Paro - Thimpu ( 55
km-2 hrs )
Today on time transfer to the airport to board the flight for Paro. The
flight to Bhutan takes you over the great Himalayas, offering the
scintillating scenery of the world's highest glacial peaks. As you enter
Paro valley, you will see the silvery Pa Chu (Paro river) meandering down
the valley, the Paro Dzong (fortress) & Ta Dzong (watch tower). On
arrival you will be received by our representative & will be transferred
to Thimphu, the modern capital town of Bhutan. In the evening you can take a
stroll around town's main street. Overnight Hotel- Thimpu (B, D)
Day - 7 - Thimphu
National Library, ThimphuToday will be a full Day sightseeing in Thimphu
valley, visiting National Library it holds a vast collection of ancient
Buddhist texts, manuscripts, modern academic books & printing blocks for
prayer flags. Painting School famous for traditional Thangkha paintings.
Traditional Medicine Institute the rich herbal medicines abundant in Kingdom
is prepared here. Institute also imparts the art of herbal medicines to
would be practitioner. Memorial Chorten the beautiful stupa built in the
memory of Bhutan's 3rd King. Paintings & statues inside the monument
provide a deep insight into Buddhist philosophy. Trashichhodzong the
beautiful fortress/monastery which houses Secretariat building, King's
Throne room & other government's offices. Its also summer residence of
Chief Abbot. Handicrafts Emporium it displays wide assortment of beautifully
handwoven & crafted products. Overnight Hotel- Thimphu (B, L,D)
Day - 8 - Thimphu - Trongsa ( 200 km- 6 hours )
After an early breakfast, drive to Dochula Pass (3080m). If weather
permits, you can see a range of high Himalayan peaks towards the north-east.
Following peaks can be seen from this Pass, on a clear Day Masagang (7158m),
Tsendagang (6960m), Terigang (7060m), Jejegangphugang (7158m), Kangphugang
(7170m), Zongphugang (7060m), table mountain that dominates the isolated
region of Lunana finally Gangkar Punsum, highest peak in Bhutan at 7,497m.
Later drive onwards arriving Wangdiphodrang town for lunch. Descent from
Dochula into Wangdiphodrang valley is quite long as the altitude difference
is 1,700 meters. Proceed to Trongsa across Pelela pass (3300 m), the
traditional boundary between east & west. The pass is marked by a large
prayer flag & the ground is covered with high altitude dwarf bamboo.
Stop en route at Chendbji Chorten, which was built in 18th century by a Lama
named Shida, it is Nepalese in style with eyes painted at four cardinal
points. Arrive Trongsa & check into a lodge. Overnight Lodge - Trongsa

Day - 9 - Trongsa - Punakha ( 135 km - 4 hrs )
After breakfast walk by Trongsa Dzong built by Shabdrung in year 1647 &
visit the Ta Dzong (watch tower), dedicated to Buddhist epic hero, King
Gesar of Ling. After Lunch drive to Punakha, en route visiting 17th century
majestic Wangdi Dzong followed by visit to local market. The district of
Wangdiphodrang is also famous for its bamboo products, slate & stone
carvings. Overnight Hotel- Punakha. (B, L,D)
Day - 10 - Punakha - Paro ( 125 km - 4 hrs)
Punakha DzongMorning visit to Punakha Dzong, a massive structure built at
the junction of two rivers. It was the capital of Bhutan until 1955, &
still serves as the winter residence of the monk community. The first King,
Ugyen Wangchuck was crowned here in 1907. The fortress has withstood several
damages from fire, earthquake & flood. The latest flood of October 1994
caused great damage to the fortress but miraculously spared the statue of
Buddha Jojampa. After lunch, proceed to Paro en route visit traditional
Bhutanese farm house which offers good insight into lifestyle of local
people & their culture. On arrival in Paro, check into the hotel.

Day - 11 - Paro
Today will be a full Day sightseeing in Paro valley including visit to Ta
Dzong, National Museum which in the past served as watch tower for the Paro
Dzong. Then walk down the trail to visit Paro Dzong (Rinpung Dzong) built in
1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang. After lunch drive to Drukgeyl Dzong, built in
1647 by Shabdrung to commemorate Bhutanese victory in war in 1644 over
Tibetans. Also en route visit to Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest &
most sacred shrines of the Kingdom. Overnight Hotel- Paro (B, L,D)
Day - 12 - Paro - Delhi ( Flt: KB-202 / 0730 - 1015 Hrs.)
After breakfast on time transfer to the airport to board the flight for
Delhi. On arrival in Delhi you will be met by our representative & will
be transferred to the hotel for overnight stay at hotel.(B)
Day - 13 - Depart Delhi
Our tour concludes : We thanks you for your patronage & ensures a
punctual transfer to the Airport for your onward travel.
